Top Ten Tuesday: The Last 10 Books I Read with Water on the Covers

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Water (This can be covers with water on them, books with bodies of water in them, titles with bodies of water in them, etc.)

Hello Readers! Today I’ll be taking the prompt at face value and keeping things simple. This past week Covid was an unwelcome guest in our household. Again. This time I was the unlucky recipient. The brain fog is real! 🀨 Several family members outside of our home have had it, as well, including one battling Covid and the flu! So far my case has been very mild, and I think we’re all on the mend! If Covid wasn’t a thing, I might would have thought I was just battling allergies. Or if my morning coffee hadn’t suddenly tasted disgusting. We were just starting to hear about the new variant making the rounds here in Texas when we were all hit with it. So stay safe out there, friends! ❀️

I was surprised I had to go into last year to find ten books with water on the covers. And I was happy to see I rated them all 4+ stars.

Here’s the last ten books I read with water on the covers!
(starting with the most recent)

  1. I really need to get around to reading Happy Place at some point. I went on a Emily Henry binge and by the time I got to it, I was kinda burnt out. πŸ˜… The Stranded sounds up my alley! Thank you! Have a great week!

    1. Oooh, an Emily Henry binge sounds amazing! But I can see how you might need a break from all that romance. Happy Place was one of my favorites of Henry’s so far, so I hope you get to it soon! The Stranded pleasantly surprised me. I thought it was very well done.

  2. I love your watery choices!

I am sorry your family is going through COVID again. Yuck! I have heard things are ramping up again with the kids returning to school and the new variant making its rounds. I hope you all feel better soon!

  3. Sorry to hear about the COVID situation but I do hope that you feel better soon (and things stop tasting weird as well)! Great choice of covers. Cerulean Sea was on my list today and it seems to be quite the popular title this week! 😍

    1. Thank you! I’m feeling much better now. My coffee’s a little closer to normal tasting every day. πŸ˜ƒ I had a feeling Cerulean Sea would be a popular one this week.

  4. Oh dear, I’m so sorry to hear that Covid hit you and your family. I’m glad you are on the mend, Dedra. I have read seven of these book and enjoyed them as well. Nice selection.

  5. Sorry the rona got you, but I am glad it’s been mild. Mine was pretty mild both times. Nothing like the time I had the flu. I feel for your relative who has the flu. I thought I was going to die. I read almost all those books (8). Such good picks!

    1. Oh that’s good you haven’t had Covid! My parents have never had it either. There’s not many people left who can say that. πŸ˜ƒ If only they’d rolled out that new vaccine a few weeks earlier, maybe I would have missed it this time. Thankfully it was very mild.

      Whalefall was completely engrossing!
