Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is One-Word Reviews for the Last Ten Books I Read (submitted by Susan @ Bloggin’ ’bout Books)

Hello Readers! I hope this week finds you well and fully immersed in a good book. If not, then I have some suggestions for you today…
I love today’s topic! There’s something refreshing about the challenge of reviewing books with only a few words. I’m keeping this simple and following the rules. I’ll be looking at the last ten books I’ve read, starting with the most recent. I’ll include a link to the reviews I did on the blog—if you’d like more than one word!

(Link to Goodreads synopsis through book title.)

- Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison – Exceptional
- Every Summer After by Carley Fortune – Immersive (My Review)
- Growing Up Biden by Valerie Biden Owens – Illuminating (My Review)
- Blame It on the Brontës by Annie Sereno – Charming (My Review)
- Just the Two of Us by Jo Wilde – Comforting (My Review)

- This May End Badly by Samantha Markum – Ingenious (My Review)
- The Highland Fling by Meghan Quinn – Hilarious
- Very Bad People by Kit Frick – Atmospheric (My Review)
- The Hating Game by Sally Thorne – Adorable
- The Viscount Who Loved Me (Bridgerton, #2) by Julia Quinn – Entertaining

Do we share any recent reads? Let me know in the comments!
Happy Wandering!

I still need to read the Bridgerton books!! Glad you liked The Hating Game! I loved this topic!
I’ve now purchased the third and fourth Bridgerton books so I’ll at least be able to read those before the next seasons.
Ohh, nice!! I own them all and still haven’t touched them. LOL
Haha! I have several series I said I’d read once I owned them all, but they’re still waiting on my shelves.

Haha.. I think it’s a bookish thing!! lol
Oooh Atmospheric is a good word! And I also thought the Bridgerton books were entertaining
Atmospheric is one of my favorite words and I’ve probably been known to overuse it.
Great choices Dedra. Every Summer After isn’t available in Canada yet, but I am watching for it.
Well, the closer you can read it to summer, the better.
I’ll be excited to hear your thoughts.
The Hating Game is such a cute book. So glad you liked it! Great job with the restriction of one word!
I was so surprised by how much I enjoyed The Hating Game. It always makes me wonder what other books are waiting on my shelf that will become new favorites.
Some great words there. I loved The Viscount Who Loved Me!
Have a great week!

Thank you! <3
Illuminating is such a great word!
It’s a very pretty word, isn’t it?!
Nice reviews! I just started reading Every Summer After and so far, so good.
Oh yay! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. <3
I love that a covid romance was comforting. That was one of the few that piqued my interest.
Yes! It was such an unexpected surprise.
“Comforting” is the kind of book I have been gravitating toward lately. You found some great one-word descriptors for these!

Same here! Give me all the comfort-reads!
Anytime I see someone describe a book as comforting I sit up and take notice. Those always tend to be feel-good books that are perfect in between my other angsty books.
Yes! I need those kinds of books so much right now, too. But I do love the angsty ones, as well.
As an Overly Verbose Person, one-word reviews are so impossible for me to fathom but you did a great job!
Haha! I just considered it a fun challenge.
