Top Ten Tuesday: Extra! Extra! READ All About It!

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Book Titles That Would Make Great Newspaper Headlines (Submitted by Cathy @ What Cathy Read Next)

Hello Readers! This week’s prompt is such a creative one, but I was surprised by how much of a challenge it became for me. As an over-thinker, I quickly spiraled into being overwhelmed by all my book titles. I had to take a step back and think in more general terms. I decided to focus on five books I’ve read and five on my tbr, which helped to simplify things, as well.

Let’s see what I came up with!

(Link to Goodreads synopsis through book title.)

Books I’ve Read

  1. People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry – This would of course be a travel story—and one I’d like to read!
  2. Things You Save in a Fire by Katherine Center – I’ve read this article before and the answer is nothing! You save nothing but yourself.
  3. Life After Coffee by Virginia Franken – An informational health story about a caffeine addiction??
  4. The Death of Bees by Lisa O’Donnell – A climate change story that sadly isn’t too farfetched.
  5. The Most Dangerous Place on Earth by Lindsey Lee Johnson – I would read this article! And now I’m curious—where is the most dangerous place on earth?! (I did google it, but there really isn’t a clear winner. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ)

Books from My TBR

  1. Practice Makes Perfect by Sarah Adams – This could apply to many things, but I see it as a sports article.
  2. Seven Days in June by Tia Williams – This one could also apply to many things: from weather to sports to entertainment, but sadly, my mind goes to a grim story about a hostage situation.
  3. Invasion of the Body Snatchers by Jack Finney – This is an article we never want to be real!
  4. 100 Days of Sunlight by Abbie Emmons – Another climate change story? We lived this here in Texas this past summer.
  5. The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah – AND a climate change story on the opposite spectrum??

Have you read any of these books? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Wandering!

  1. You have some great picks here! Emily’s would fit a travel piece really well, and Sarah Adam’s is another really good fit. πŸ™‚
