Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Books With One-Word Titles (submitted by Angela @ Reading Frenzy Book Blog).
Hello Readers! I’m currently still on a little blogging hiatus, but I’m planning on being back full-time sometime this week!
I couldn’t remember if I’d done this prompt before, but after a quick search I saw that it’d been since 2020. I felt fairly confident that I could stick to this prompt without repeating any books, and I did! I’ve chosen five I’ve read and five from my TBR.
Let’s see what I found!
(Link to Goodreads synopsis through book title.)
Books I’ve Read and Enjoyed
- Kulti by Mariana Zapata – Romance, 4.25 stars, ultimate slow-burn goodness
- Upgrade by Blake Crouch – Sci-Fi, five-star-read, unputdownable (My Review)
- Crux by Jean Guerrero – Nonfiction, 4 stars, beautifully written memoir
- Lies by T.M. Logan – Thriller, 3.5 stars, read in one day
- Corinne by Rebecca Morrow – Adult Fiction, five-star-read, another book I loved that many readers didn’t (My Review)
Books on My TBR
- Keepsake by Sarina Bowen – Romance
- Sunkissed by Kasie West – YA, Romance
- Dune by Frank Herbert – Sci-Fi
- Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer – Sci-Fi
- Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand – Nonfiction
Have you read any of these books? Let me know in the comments!
I hope youβre having a wonderful hiatus! Good for you for taking a break.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Thank you Lydia! It was just what I needed.
Have a good hiatus.
Thank you!
Love the variety! Unbroken is the only one that I’ve read off this list.
Someday I will get to that one!
Nice list, Dedra and a nice variety as well. I have read Lies, and have Unbroken on my TBR.
Hopefully we both enjoy Unbroken when we get to it. π
Iβve heard great things about Dune.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Yes! It’s just so daunting. I need to get to it soon.
Great list! I see a few books I may have to add to my tbr. I plan on reading Kulti soon and Keepsake has been on my tbr for far longer than I wanted.
I hope you have a great Tuesday!
Kulti is soooo good. Read it! Hopefully we can both get to Keepsake soon.
I plan to read Kulti next month! It’s been a long time coming. I need to catch up on the True North Series. Thankfully Keepsake is the third book in the series, instead of the last. I’ll definitely have to do a series binge soon!
Great list, and have a great break! I’m still undecided about UPGRADE. I’ve been lukewarm on the Crouch books I’ve read, so I’m not sure.

I get that. For some reason his style just works for me. But I don’t read in the Thriller genre often.
I loved Kulti and Keepsake! I still need to read Sunkissed.
I need to move Keepsake up higher on the tbr. Hopefully we can both get to Sunkissed soon. π
I have the audiobook downloaded for that one!
I used Kulti as well! Loved that one so much. And Keepsake was wonderful. Such a good series.
Kulti!! Yes, so very good. Definitely one of those books I read and wondered why I’d waited so long. Lots of praise for Keepsake. I need to move that one up the tbr.
Unbroken! How did I forget that one? You did a very nice job with this topic.
Thank you!
I loved Sunkissed and Keepsake (heck, all the books in this series were fantastic)
Okay, so much praise for Keepsake. I need to make that one a priority.
Great list, Dedra! I’ve got Keepsake, Kulti and Upgrade on my TBR and I can’t wait to check them all out π
I’m getting lots of praise for Keepsake, so seems like we should read that one sooner rather than later. π Kulti is a must-read if you’re a fan of Zapata. So very good. Same for Upgrade.
UPGRADE is one I want to read. I enjoy Crouch’s books. They’re always so compelling!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

Yes! If you’re a fan of the author, you’ll enjoy Upgrade.
I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to do another full list of these but it turned out I’ve read a lot more books with one word titles than I thought, so it was actually fairly easy!

Same here! I never realize how many one-word titles there are until I’m working on a list like this. π
