Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Books I Hope Santa Brings This Year!
Hello Readers! I hope today’s TTT finds you well! If you celebrate the holidays, I hope you’re past all the stressful parts and settling in to enjoy some festivities with your loved ones. And reading great books, of course!
My reading has been abysmal so far this month. Not because I’m in any kind of slump, just because I’m too busy to read. I’m hoping to spend some time reading (and catching up on blogging!) over the last few weeks of 2022.
Today I’ll be sharing the top ten books I would love Santa to leave under my tree. I’m only choosing books that have been published—with one exception. Let me know if we share any on our wishlist! π
(Link to Goodreads synopsis through book title.)
- Chain of Thorns (The Last Hours, #3) by Cassandra Clare – I’m breaking my rule of no unpublished books with this one because I do typically pre-order the books in the Shadowhunters universe. And it will be available in just a few weeks.
- Running Wild (Wild, #3) by K.A. Tucker – Technically the third book in the series, but I believe this one can be read as a stand-alone—although, I highly recommend the first two. I had every intention of reading this one last year. Maybe if I owned it, I’d read it more quickly. π
- Fleishman is in Trouble by Taffy Brodesser-Anker – So I originally added this book to my ‘Want to Read’ list then later removed it when reviews were mixed. Now I’ve added it back after seeing the trailer to the new adaptation on Hulu. I just have a feeling it’s one I would enjoy.
- The Winners (Beartown, #3) by Fredrik Backman – I was very impressed with the first two books in the Beartown series. So the third is a must-read for me. If you haven’t seen the adaptation on HBO, I recommend it, as well.
- Heartstopper: Volume Three (Heartstopper, #3) by Alice Oseman – I finally read the first two books in this graphic novel series and adored them! The adaptation of this one on Netflix is also phenomenal. I would love for Volume 4 to appear under my tree, as well. π
- All My Rage by Sabaa Tahir – I read the first few chapters of this YA novel on Bookishfirst and I didn’t want to stop. I just need the book to finish reading.
- Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan – I’ve only read one book by Ryan, but the reviews for this book have been glowing! I need to find out if the hype is real.
- Love, Lists, and Fancy Ships (Love, Lists, and Fancy Ships, #1) by Sarah Grunder Ruiz – This year I read the second installment in this romance series, Luck and Last Resorts, and now I’m eager to read its predecessor.
- Ever After Always (Bergman Brothers, #3) by Chloe Liese – I’ve read and enjoyed the first two books in this slow-burn series, now I’m excited to continue with the next one.
- Addicted to You (Addicted, #1) by Krista and Becca Ritchie – This book has been all over social media. Written in 2013, apparently it’s a must-read for fans of Romance. I’m eager to see what I think!
Have you read any of the books I’m wishing for? Let me know in the comments!
I also have Before I Let Go on my list! I hope you get these books and enjoy them.
It’s seems to be everywhere right now. Hopefully we both get to pick it up and enjoy it!
Before I Let Go sure sounds good.

I feel like I’m seeing it everywhere right now.
I haven’t read any of these, but I hope your wishes get fulfilled!
Thank you! Happy reading!
These are some amazing picks! I totally pre-ordered CC’s new one. I am now planning on finally picking up book two so I can jump right into book 3! haha. Happy Holidays!!
I still haven’t pre-ordered it, but I will! Smart planning to read both books. I typically do a reread, and it’s been so long since Chain of Iron came out… I feel like I’ll need to read it again. I look forward to hearing what you think!
LOL… I’m finally going to read it and you will be reading it for a second time. I totally can’t wait but yes… it was sooo long since book 2 was released!
YAS, I loved Ever After Always so much! These two were fantastic and I don’t normally read marriage-in-crisis romances but this was *chefs kiss* IMO! π I have All My Rage on my wish list as well but not on my TTT list today, lol. I hope some, if not all, of these make their way to you this holiday!
I’m determined to catch up on Bergman this year. I have to make it happen! π I hope we both get to pick up All My Rage soon. Happy reading!
I hope you get all of these!
Santa didn’t bring them, but hopefully I can pick a few up soon! π
I’m also really excited for Chain of Thorns! And that book ornament is ADORABLE. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a great 2023!

I’m so excited to get to Chain of Thorns so we can all discuss. π Happy New Year!
Ha, it’ll definitely be the season of the Shadowhunter at that point! Happy New Year!
We don’t have any matching books this week, but I hope you enjoy whatever books Santa brings for you!

Santa didn’t bring me any books this year, but hopefully I can pick up a few of these soon! π Happy reading!
I want the Chloe Liese one! I loved the first two books in that series. Hope you find all of these under your tree this year. π
Oh, I hope we both get to read it soon! I’m hoping to catch up on the whole series this year, but that might be overly ambitious. π
Love the book tree. Nice job! I read three of those (all fab). I own Liese book, but it’s unread. One of these days…
The book tree photo is from a few years ago. This was the first year I didn’t do one. I forgot all about it this year with all the busyness, which made me sad when I realized it. π Hopefully we can both get to Ever After Always this year!
I am looking forward to The Winners and Before I Let Go. I hope you get some of these slipped under your tree, Dedra. Merry Christmas.
Sadly, Santa didn’t bring me any books this year. π But hopefully I can pick a few of them up soon. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Carla!
I didn’t get any either, Dedra, but I will buy what I want. I had a wonderful Christmas and a great start to the New Year!
