Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Backlist Books I Finally Read in 2023

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Reading Goals I Still Want to Accomplish, but I did a little twist on the subject.

Hello Readers! In January, when we had our TTT Reading Goals post, I listed books off my backlist I wanted to read over the year instead. Unfortunately, I’ve only read 3 books from that post, but all 3 did make my list today! I’d also shared that I’d joined Kal @ Reader Voracious’ Project Backlist Reading Challenge, with a goal to read at least 2 backlist books a month. I’m on pace to reach that goal so far, having read 22 backlist books! Yay! And every year I participate in the Popsugar Reading Challenge. I have one book left to reach my goal! And it’s a prompt I assumed I’d just fulfill while reading throughout the year, but it never happened: read a book with a map. I should make that happen in October!

๐ŸŽ‰It’s the last week to enter the giveaways I’m hosting to celebrate my 4th Blogiversary, so be sure to do that right away! ๐ŸŽ‰

Let’s see which backlist books I’ve enjoyed—and wished I’d read sooner!

It’s also Banned Books Week here in the US. Here are some great resources to get involved: ala.org and pen.org and uniteagainstbookbans.org. #LetFreedomRead #FreeTheBooks

  1. YAY! I’m so glad to see that you enjoyed Dani Brown ๐Ÿ˜ I still haven’t read the last book in the series but Dani was definitely my fave so far. I still need to read Love on the Brain and Pride, Prejudice and Other Flavors but I’m hoping to read both before the end of the year. So glad to see you loved them too. Great list, Dedra!

  2. Yay for reading backlisted books!!! That is a great accomplishment. I am working on reading books from my own shelves and Kindle, but really do need to do more!

  3. I haven’t read any of these, Dedra. I’m glad you enjoyed them. I have been trying to read Backlist Books this year as well.
