Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Reading Goals I Still Want to Accomplish, but I did a little twist on the subject.
Hello Readers! In January, when we had our TTT Reading Goals post, I listed books off my backlist I wanted to read over the year instead. Unfortunately, I’ve only read 3 books from that post, but all 3 did make my list today! I’d also shared that I’d joined Kal @ Reader Voracious’ Project Backlist Reading Challenge, with a goal to read at least 2 backlist books a month. I’m on pace to reach that goal so far, having read 22 backlist books! Yay! And every year I participate in the Popsugar Reading Challenge. I have one book left to reach my goal! And it’s a prompt I assumed I’d just fulfill while reading throughout the year, but it never happened: read a book with a map. I should make that happen in October!
πIt’s the last week to enter the giveaways I’m hosting to celebrate my 4th Blogiversary, so be sure to do that right away! π
Let’s see which backlist books I’ve enjoyed—and wished I’d read sooner!
It’s also Banned Books Week here in the US. Here are some great resources to get involved: ala.org and pen.org and uniteagainstbookbans.org. #LetFreedomRead #FreeTheBooks

Running Wild sounds good.Β
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.Β
This series made me want to visit Alaska!
Good job with your goal so far.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Thank you!
YAY! I’m so glad to see that you enjoyed Dani Brown π I still haven’t read the last book in the series but Dani was definitely my fave so far. I still need to read Love on the Brain and Pride, Prejudice and Other Flavors but I’m hoping to read both before the end of the year. So glad to see you loved them too. Great list, Dedra!
Yes! Dani was my favorite, too, but I did enjoy the final book. I hope you get to all three of these soon, and enjoy them as much as I did, Dini. <3
I haven’t read any of these (yet) but the Sonali Dev series is on my TBR. Great job on reading backlist books! There are some gems to be found there, that’s for sure.

I hope you enjoy Dev’s books when you get to them! I’m anxious to continue the series, but it probably won’t be until next year. π
You are way ahead in your challenges. Great job!
Thank you! It seems like simplifying my challenges worked this year. π
You did great knocking these backlist books off your list!
Thank you Deanna! Now if I can just keep up the pace. π
Great list. Haven’t read any of these, but Evvie Drake Starts Over caught my eye. Wishing you many more great books in your future.

Evvie Drake was such a nice surprise. I hope you enjoy it if/when you pick it up!
Yay for reading backlisted books!!! That is a great accomplishment. I am working on reading books from my own shelves and Kindle, but really do need to do more!
It does feel good, and makes me want to keep it up next year. But those new, shiny books are always calling. π
I’m glad you enjoyed all these! I haven’t read any of them, but several are on my TBR list. Hopefully, I’ll get to them someday.
Happy TTT!

I hope you do! And enjoy them as much as I did. <3
What a great topic! I usually have a backlist or two going, but haven’t done very well this year. Congratulations
Thank you! It only took a few years of me setting the goal to finally make it happen. Ha!
I love how you focused on books you’ve read this year and wished you had read sooner! And it looks like your challenges are going ok as well.

It was nice to see I’ve done better than I expected. π
I haven’t read any of these, Dedra. I’m glad you enjoyed them. I have been trying to read Backlist Books this year as well.
It seems to be an ongoing goal for all of us! π
