Book Challenge TBR

My Trope-ical Readathon Wrap-Up

Hello Readers! I had so much fun participating in the Trope-ical Readathaon hosted by JenJenReviews last month. I ended up reading 13 books—a good amount for me—contributing a total of 4916 points for my team, the Contemporary/Literary/Historical Fiction team. Unfortunately, it looks like we came in last place. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

I was able to fulfill 11 out of 13 of the Common Challenges, using a couple of novellas to satisfy two prompts on the last day. I ended up changing several of my choices and using ARCs I had due in April and May since they were stacking up quickly. And I read the two books for the Team Challenge, but I ended up not getting to read the Team Book. I realized when I sat down to read it that I’d already read it before (pre-Goodreads), and unfortunately it was too late to pick up the other option. You can check out My Trope-ical Readathon TBR, if you’d like to see what I originally planned to read. I am a little bummed that I didn’t get to read more of my backlist choices. Isn’t that the way it aways goes, though? πŸ˜‰

Point System

  • Common Challenges: 50 POINTS EACH – 550/650 points
  • Team Challenges: 100 POINTS EACH – 200/200 points
  • Team Books: 150 POINTS EACH – 0/150 points
  • Pages Read: 1 POINT PER PAGE – My total = 4,166

Final total = 4,916 points

Common Challenges

There were two options for the Common Challenges: read a book with the given trope OR one that satisfies the alternate prompt. I was able to finish 11 out of 13! And most of the books also satisfied a prompt on my yearly reading challenge, as well. Here’s what I ended up reading!
