A Book Wanderer’s Second Blogiversary Giveaway!

Today it’s been TWO years since I shared my first post on A Book Wanderer! When I started my blog, I was yearning for a way to share my love of books, have a place where I could organize my thoughts about said books, and find others to exchange those thoughts with. This blog has become that and so much more. While there have been ups and downs, and it’s been a big learning experience, it’s one I don’t regret.

I had no idea, of course, that around the corner a global pandemic was waiting to hit. Having the blog has given me a place to commiserate (and/or vent) with so many other readers around the world. I’ve also had to tackle technology issues, wading though more coding than I ever cared to see. But it’s the friendships and the books that have made everything else worthwhile. So, to say THANK YOU for hanging in there with me, I wanted to host a giveaway to celebrate this milestone! <3

My giveaway is international and will be winner’s choice of $20 gift card from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Kobo or $20 worth of books from Book Depository!

  1. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!! Yea!!! Here’s to many, many more. My favorite book so far for this year, is The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. And now I’ve ticked all the boxes. Have a good weekend!

  2. Congrats on two years! I hope you find joy in sharing bookish posts for many years to come. I read adult books, YA, and MG, so I will tell you my favorites from each of these age groups, otherwise it’s too difficult to pick just one. For adult: If the Show Fits by Julie Murphy; for YA: Firekeeper’s Daughter by Boulley; for MG: Willodeen by Applegate.

    1. Thank you!! Oooh, three recommendations… I’m good with that! I haven’t read any of those yet, but I did read an excerpt of Firekeeper’s Daughter and I liked what I read. It’s on my tbr! I haven’t heard of Willodeen. I’ll have to look it up! <3

    1. Thank you Tanya! Well Met was such a nice surprise. I knew I’d enjoy it but I didn’t know I’d love it as much as I did. πŸ™‚ I don’t think I’ve heard of The Things We Leave Unfinished. I’ll have to look it up! <3

  3. Ahhh! Happy blogiversary Dedra, I’m so happy for you!!
And thank you so much for the giveaway, my favourite book of the year so far is Foundryside by Robert Jackson-Bennet πŸ™‚

  4. Woohoo! Happy Blogiversary! Two years and still going strong! As for my favorite book this year… hm… right now I’m leaning towards Antiquities by Cynthia Ozeck but I could change that to The Rose Code by Kate Quinn… OR… there’s A Bright Young Thying by Brianne Moore, or maybe (and I haven’t reviewed it yet) the new Muriel Barbery novella “A Single Rose” which is amazing!

    1. Thank you Davida! Haha! Thank you for all the recommendations. I know it’s a hard question to narrow down for us readers. πŸ˜‰ I haven’t read any of these yet so I’ll be excited to look them up! <3

  5. Hmm. My favorite read of the past year. Well, I liked a Charles Todd book that I read–it was a great mystery!

  6. Congratulations Dedra. I thought you had been blogging a lot longer than that Dedra. The only one I read is The People We Meet on Vacation, but I want to read The Six of Crows. I hope we are both still blogging in the years to come.

    1. Ha! Like I told Deanna, I’ve wormed my way in and made myself at home. πŸ˜‰ Loved Six of Crows! It takes a bit to settle into all the characters, but then I was hooked. I hope we are, too! <3

  7. Happy blogiversary and wishing you many more amazing years to come!
One of my favorites was definitely We Free the Stars by Hafsah Faizal.
