Book Challenge TBR

20 Books of Summer 2023

I’ll be joining in the #20BooksOfSummer23 challenge again this year, hosted by Cathy @ 746 Books! You can check out the announcement here if you’d like to join, as well!

What I like most about this challenge is the flexibility. You can choose to read 10, 15, or 20 books from June 1 until September 1. I’ve decided to choose 20 books, with a mix of reads from my ARCs to my backlist. I may not get to all of these, but I’m increasing my odds by including the few ARCs I know I’ll be reading, as well as books from my Popsugar Reading Challenge, and a few novellas, too. I’ve been doing better about utilizing library books via Libby, so a few of these will depend on their availability. I’m also very excited that several of these are re-reads, which I’d hoped to make a priority this year.

Let’s see what I’ve chosen (in no particular order)!

(Link to the synopsis on Goodreads through the book title.)

Are you joining in this challenge? Do you see any books that are must-reads?
Let me know in the comments!

Happy Wandering!

  1. Sounds like a great challenge and a great TBR! I do love the flexibility of this kind of challenge. I’m not going to be participating (because I don’t feel like I can successfully plan that far ahead) but I’ll be cheering you on!

  2. I adored both the Ruiz and Montgomery books. I listened to The Lost Husband and think it affected my enjoyment, but I still liked it. I read Are You There God a long, long time ago. I may have been a tween. Hope they are all big hits for the summer.

    1. I *think* I read Are You There God as a kid, but I have no memory of it. I’m curious to see if reading it will help me remember. Hopefully I can get to most, if not all, of these this summer!

        1. Okay, yeah. I do remember that, but I didn’t know if it was from something else?? Like it’s been used so many times since then. But I’m 70% done and it’s all familiar, even though I have no memory of it. So i’m assuming I read it. I read so many other Judy Blume books, I can’t imagine I would have missed this one. πŸ˜ƒ

  3. Ooh, there are quite a few on here that I’m keen to read, especially Hazelwood’s books. I joined this challenge last year and did very poorly πŸ˜‚ I’m low-key tempted to join again this year but I’m not doing so great with reading these days so I might pass. I hope you enjoy all these reads and have fun with the challenge though, Dedra!

  4. Great summer reading choices! So many of these look very fun. I especially want to check out The Love Theorem and The Roommate Pact. πŸ˜€ Happy Reading!

  5. A great list and mix of books, Dedra. I have read a lot of these, but that Katherine Center book is new to me. I am assuming it is off her backlist and will watch to see what you think. Enjoy them all and Good Luck.

    1. Yes! The Lost Husband is one of her first books. There’s an adaptation on Netflix, as well, which I’ve been holding off on watching until I read it. Hopefully I can get it done soon!
