Bookending Autumn Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday: Book Covers That Left Me Spellbound!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Halloween Freebie, so I’ll be participating in my 3rd Bookending Autumn prompt which is the Spellbound prompt: Top 10 book covers that had me so spellbound from their beauty that I bought/got them without reading what they were about. However, I don’t think I’ve ever purchased a book without checking its rating on Goodreads–with or without a gorgeous cover–so I’m going to tweak this prompt and just choose book covers that left me speechless. (And of course they will be as fall-themed as I can make them!)

(Click on the title below the cover for the synopsis on Goodreads.)

Have I included any of your favorites? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Wandering!

    1. Maggie Stiefvater writes so beautifully! Thank you for stopping by and I’ll check out your list right now. πŸ™‚

    1. I think we’ve all become so used to the Twilight cover, but it was quite original in its day. πŸ˜‰ Thank you for stopping by!

    1. I can’t believe I haven’t read Heartless yet. Hopefully I can get to it soon! Thank you for stopping by!

  1. I plan on rereading Lady Midnight this spring before Chain of Gold comes out. The Grishaverse books are good too. Okay, there are several good books on this list!

    1. I’ve already pre-ordered Chain of Gold! My favorite of all the series so far is The Infernal Devices, but they’re all great! I can’t believe I haven’t read any of the Grishaverse books yet. I must remedy that next year!

      Thank you for stopping by!

    1. I’m not sure! This was my first time participating in Bookending Autumn and I just happened to stumble upon it. It has been a lot of fun! ?

    1. I still need to read Heartless. I’m sure it’s as good on the inside as it is on the outside! πŸ˜‰

    1. It’s great if you enjoy magical realism. It’s not my favorite Stiefvater book, but I still enjoyed it. Her writing is so beautiful. And yes, the cover is gorgeous!

      Thank you for stopping by!

  2. I love that edition of Seige and Storm so much ? It almost makes me want to rebuy the Grisha trilogy even though I have no intention of giving my copies away.

    1. Ugh, it is hard when you already have a whole series and they come out with a better looking one. πŸ˜‰ I have that same problem with The Mortal Instruments. I get attached to the first copies I read too.

      Thank you for stopping by!

  3. All The Crooked Saints for sure has a pretty cover! I confess that I originally picked up And I Darken because I thought the cover was so pretty and the colors really popped and grabbed my attention. But like you said, regardless of how pretty a cover is, I always read the summary and try to check Goodreads first, too. I don’t know if I’m in the minority here, but I actually prefer the other Siege and Storm cover with the building on it. I’m not sure why. It just grabs my attention more and looks so pleasing.

  4. And I Darken is just so so gorgeous. I need it in book form! I DO really like the black, white, and red on the other Siege and Storm cover. I found this copy used, or else I might would have purchased the other one. Teal is my favorite color, so that’s what jumped out for me on this one. πŸ™‚

    Thanks for stopping by!

  5. All these covers are GORGEOUS! But All the Wind in the World has me clutching my chest. The colours! I’m getting the feeling that there might be some angst on those pages??? I like.

Is it bad that 5 of these are currently sitting on my TBR and the other 5 I hadn’t even heard of until I read your post?? XD
This was a wonderful list!I will be checking the ones I haven’t heard of out, and I will definitely be buying All the Wind in the World, I need that book in my life! Thank you for putting it on my radar! πŸ˜€
    Happy Reading! <3

    1. If you like magical realism, you will probably like All the Wind in the World. I thought it was beautiful, but it has some mixed reviews. The cover is so pretty! I’m so happy you found something to add. I love when I discover new books from TTT! Thank you for stopping by and happy reading! πŸ™‚

  6. I think the cover of The Dry is amazing too and it’s such a great book! Great list! ?

    1. I haven’t read Heartless yet. Hopefully I can get to that one soon!

      Thank you for stopping by!

  7. I absolutely love Heartless’ cover! I was drawn to it without knowing what it was about and I ordered it as soon as I saw it was about the Queen of Hearts. πŸ™‚ Anyway, these are amazing covers especially Heartless, like I said, and Beautiful Creatures.

    1. Heartless is still on my tbr, but I loved The Lunar Chronicles by the same author, so I know I’ll love it too! Thank you for stopping by!

  8. I love that cover for Siege and Storm! In fact it was because of the new covers that I decided to read Shadow and Bone in the first place! Great choice πŸ˜€

    1. All of her books have great covers, don’t they?? Hopefully I can dive into them soon!

Thank you for stopping by! <3
