Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Book Quote Freebie (Share your favorite book quotes that fit a theme of your choosing! These could be quotes about books/reading, or quotes from books. Some examples are: quotes for book lovers, quotes that prove reading is the best thing ever, funny things characters have said, romantic declarations, pretty scenery descriptions, witty snippets of dialogue, etc.)
Hello Readers! Mother Nature must have heard my grumblings because cooler temperatures have returned here, at least for the next week. Hopefully I can take advantage of the more pleasant temps with some outdoor reading. I still have several books on My May TBR that I haven’t been able to get to yet.
I decided to keep things simple for today’s Book Quote Freebie and take a look at some of my more recent reads, picking out a few of the quotes I highlighted while reading. Almost all of these books are romance, since that’s what I’ve been reading more of lately, BUT not all the quotes are romantic in nature. Maybe you’ve been considering adding some of these to your TBR and a good quote will convince you to pick them up! π
Let’s see what I highlighted from some of my more recent reads! These are in no particular order.

One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle
βHistory, memory is by definition fiction. Once an event is no longer present, but remembered, it is narrative. And we can choose the narratives we tellβabout our own lives, our own stories, our own relationships. We can choose the chapters we give meaning.β

Oh that quote from Every Summer After just tugs on my heart!!!
It’s such a good book. Just the right kind of emotional torture I like in my romances. π
Love these so much! I agree with the one from Book Lovers, it’s amazing!! I know, what is with this weather? We had a really chilly day yesterday and it’s not much warmer today. I’m sure it will be like 100 degrees soon. lol!

I adored that book! The right kind of romantic angst. π
Great quotes, Dedra. I still have a few of these books to read. I think I love the one from The Bodyguard the most.
