Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Colorful Book Covers.
Hello Readers! I hope you’re all well and reading something you’re enjoying. Predictably for me, I’ve read less than usual after participating in a readathon last month. But I’m still ahead on my ARCs (advanced readers copies), and I’m enjoying what I am reading, so I’m not stressing about it too much.
For those of you who saw my TTT last week, I’m happy to report that my commenting issue appears to be fixed! I’m still holding my breath, but THANK YOU to those who contacted me and helped me to solve the issue. I will be happy to return the favor, if you ever need the help. <3 And if you still run into any issues trying to comment here, PLEASE let me know via Instagram or Twitter. The hardest thing has been knowing I’m missing out on so many book discussions. π
For today’s post, I decided to take colors from the rainbow spectrum and find covers from my TBR (to-be-read) to match. And I had so much fun with this one. Of course, I couldn’t just limit it to ten colors. π Let me know if I’ve included any of your favorites!
(Link to Goodreads synopsis through book title.)
- Red – Concrete Rose by Angie Thomas – The must-read prequel to The Hate U Give about Starr’s father.
- Red Orange – The Final Revival of Opal & Nev by Dawnie Walton – A historical fiction novel about a rock ‘n’ roll duo who shot to fame in New York in the 1970s.
- Orange – Sing, Unburied, Sing by Jesmyn Ward – An epic odyssey road novel about a Southern family.
- Yellow Orange – Anxious People by Fredrik Backman – I’m not even sure what this book is about, but everyone who reads it seems to love it.
- Yellow – 100 Days of Sunlight by Abbie Emmons – This heartfelt YA is about a poetry blogger who loses her eyesight for 100 days after a car accident.
- Yellow Green – RomeAntically Challenged by Marina Adair – Annie’s exes meet the love of their lives right after they break up with her. She escapes to Rome. Rome, Rhode Island. π
- Green – Damnation Spring by Ash Davidson – This is an ARC I’m excited to get to. It’s about a Pacific Northwest logging town in the late ’70s.
- Blue Green – Excuse Me While I Ugly Cry by Joya Goffney – This debut YA is getting lots of buzz. It’s being compared to To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before!
- Light Blue – Act Your Age, Eve Brown (The Brown Sisters, #3) by Talia Hibbert – Okay, so I haven’t read Take a Hint, Dani Brown (The Brown Sisters, #2) yet, but I still want to read the final installment in The Brown Sisters series, too.
- Blue – Tokyo Ever After by Emiko Jean – I’ve seen some great early reviews for this one being dubbed, “Princess Diaries meets Crazy Rich Asians“!
- Dark Blue – Twice in a Blue Moon by Christina Lauren – I know this is one of the lesser-liked Christina Lauren books, but I haven’t found one of theirs I haven’t liked. And I’m a sucker for second chance romances.
- Blue Violet – We Are Inevitable by Gayle Forman – I read an excerpt of this one and was hooked! It’s about a failing bookstore run by a father and son. And there’s also a romance, of course.
- Violet – All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover – A couple with a perfect love struggles with their imperfect marriage.
- Red Violet – You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle – Lovers to enemies to lovers?? Yes, please.
- Pink – Kisses and Croissants by Anne-Sophie Jouhanneau – Ballet, Paris, and a French boy. π
Did I include any of your favorites? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you! <3 I had a lot of fun this week. ;)
Backman’s books are always really about people and human connection. That’s what I have found from reading them all. Anxious People was fantastic too!
I have read the Beartown series and really enjoyed it. He’s a wonderful writer! Hopefully I can get to Anxious People soon. π
I love the color variety!
Thank you!! <3
You’re welcome!

Thank you! Same here with the Tokyo Ever After cover. It’s definitely one I can see people picking up solely because of the cover. π
I don’t even know what it’s about. I’ve read the synopsis, but the words just aren’t as memorable as that cover.
Love your idea for this one! So fun!!
Thank you! <3
You’re rainbow color transitions are perfect; I love it! You Deserve Each Other is still on my TBR (because as much as I rage against romance, I do still love me an enemies to lover story). Kisses and Croissants might be an interesting one as well. Oh! I didn’t realize Gayle Forman had another book coming out. I’ll definitely have to add that to my TBR too!
Thank you! <3 I was just as surprised by the new Gayle Forman book. I couldn't believe I hadn't heard of it sooner.
Yay!!! I’m so glad that the commenting issue has been fixed. I know, it’s been on going for a while. The cover for 100 Days of Sunlight is gorgeous!! Great picks! π
Fingers crossed! <3
