Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Books Iβm Worried I Might Not Love as Much the Second Time Around. But I did a bit of a twist!
Hello Readers! In my neck of the woods the groundhog was right this year—spring has arrived early! The weather has been very nice, but we know the heat is coming…. This week’s TTT is a great one because I do love to re-read, which is why I’ve twisted it a bit to share books I’ve enjoyed on the second, third, or even fourth re-read! Several of these are part of a series, and I used to re-read the previous books in a series to refresh my memory before I would pick up the latest book. It’s a luxury I don’t have the time to enjoy as much anymore, but that’s why several of these books have been read at least 3 or 4 times. π
Let’s take a look at the books I’ve loved re-reading!
(Link to Goodreads synopsis through book title.)
- Beach Read by Emily Henry – Read 2 times.
- The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins – Read 3 times.
- In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren – Read 3 times.
- The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater – Read 2 times.
- Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare – Read 4 times.
- The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater – Read 3 or 4 times.
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5) by J.K. Rowling – Read 2 times. I’ve re-read all the Harry Potter books 2 times, but I think this may be my favorite?? Maybe.
- Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer – Read 2 times. Same for this series. Cress is my favorite.
- Twilight by Stephenie Meyer – I have it recorded as having read it 4 times, but I know it’s more than that. π
- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen – Read at least 4 times, but could be more!
Do you have a favorite book to re-read? Let me know in the comments!
I have been thinking about re-reading The Lunar Chronicles. I also re-watched the Hunger Games a few months back and wanted to re-read the books.
I’ve been wanting to reread The Lunar Chronicles again, but haven’t been able to make the time. Someday! I highly recommend rereading The Hunger Games. I reread each book and then watched each film. It was such fun!
I rarely reread books – I get too tempted by new books – and I can’t imagine reading a book four times!
Yeah, there’s something comforting about rereading for me. I enjoy trying to recapture the emotions and feelings my favorite books brought the first time around. π
I don’t reread, unless it is by mistake. I did just reread a book from a series I am catching up on, but that is it. I’m glad you have enjoyed the books you have read more than once, Dedra.
I didn’t realized many readers don’t reread until I started blogging. It’s always been a comfort-thing for me. And nostalgic. π
I used to re-read, but now I have too many books to do that. I know a lot of people still do, Dedra.
Same for the weather here in the Phoenix area. It’s been cool, but it was 80 degrees yesterday. Ugh!
I’m not much of a re-reader, but I have read P&P multiple times. It’s just SO fun! I can’t help myself. I also love the Harry Potter books, although I’ve only re-read the first few. I need to binge-reread the whole series.
Happy TTT!

SO not ready for the heat!
That’s exactly why I love to reread. I enjoy reliving the fun and nostalgia, and it’s comforting for me. If I didn’t have so many ARCs to read now, I’d spend all my time binge-reading series I’ve already read. Ha!
Spring has arrived early in Toronto as well!
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.
The spring part is great, I’m just dreading the coming heat here in Texas. Ha!
Great tweak to the topic. I had to do a different topic.
Thanks!
I did the same twist! But no matches. I did re-read and loved Twilight the second and third times around.
Yay!! Great minds and all that. π I can reread Twilight over and over. It always takes me back to how I felt the first time I read it. It’s a problem. Ha!
I love re-reading Tuck Everlasting in the late summer. It has perfect summer vibes.
Oooh, that’s one I’ve never read, but my daughter loved it, too!
I reread the HP books until after OOP. It just felt too long to me, and stopped rereading the series after that point. But I did enjoy books 6 & 7 (though Deathly Hallows destroyed me, though that could have been the pregnancy hormones).

It is so long! The two times I’ve read through the entire series were years apart.
I still need to read The Lunar Chronicles for the first time! I’ve heard so many good things about that series, but just haven’t gotten to it.
My TTT this week: https://bookwyrmknits.com/2024/03/12/top-ten-tuesday-books-im-nervous-to-re-read/
Yes! It’s great! And I would say it gets better and better with each book, so even if you don’t love the first one, stick with it. The writing improved with each book, as well. π
Thanks for the tips! It’s great when a series grows like that, though sometimes we do need the advance warning. π
I reread The Hunger Games series every few years, and IT STILL HITS EVERY TIME.
Yes!!! I was very happy that it held up to my first read. It definitely stands the test of time!
I try to reread The Scorpio Races, every September, it’s not always possible, but the attempt is made.
Yes! It’s the perfect atmospheric fall-ish book!
Yeah for spring! I am not a re-reader, but I did love some of these books (Beach Read, Holidaze, Clockwork Angel, The Raven Boys)
It’s definitely a comfort, nostalgic thing for me. I love to recapture that feeling from my favorite books. π
I love rereading — I actually find myself turning to rereads when I’m busy, because I know I’ll enjoy them and they can give me a break from the world. π My favourite for that is currently The Goblin Emperor, by Katherine Addison. Looks like a good list!
My TTT.
Oh yes! When life is busy or stressful, I reach for those books that will bring comfort and familiarity. I don’t know if I’ve heard of The Goblin Emperor. I’ll have to check it out!
I love your twist on this week’s TTT! I have reread all the Harry Potter books many times and have loved them just as much every time I’ve read them. π
It’s so nice to return to a comfort-read and discover it’s still enjoyable!
