TBR Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Hope Santa Brings {My Bookish Wishes}

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Books I Hope Santa Brings/Bookish Wishes (This was so popular when I did it in June that we’re doing it again for the holidays! List the top 10 books you’d love to own and include a link to your wishlist so that Santa can grant your wish. Make sure you link your wishlist to your mailing address [here’s how to do it on Amazon] or include the email address associated with your ereader in the list description so people know how to get the book to you. After you post, jump around the Linky and grant a wish or two if you’d like. You can make your identity known or be someone’s secret Santa! Please don’t feel obligated to send anything to anyone! If you would rather not include your wish list, just share the books you hope you find under your tree on Christmas morning.)

Hello Readers! I hope today’s TTT finds you well, safe, and happy. If you celebrate the holidays, I hope you’re past all the stressful parts and settling in to enjoy some festivities with your loved ones.

I had so much fun participating in the Bookish Wishes TTT post in June and I was excited to see it again for Christmas. I loved jumping around and granting a few wishes, as well as having a few of my own wishes granted. Please don’t feel obligated to participate, but feel free to let me know if you’ve read any of my book wishes and what you thought of them. AND I never know when my family may venture over and get some Christmas gift ideas. πŸ˜‰

I’ll be sharing my top ten choices—at the moment. Let me know if we share any!

(Link to Goodreads synopsis through book title.)

  1. Well Played (Well Met, #2) by Jen DeLuca – I finally read the first installment in this series, and I loved it so much, the second and third books top my wish list.
  2. Well Matched (Well Met, #3) by Jen DeLuca
  3. The Love Hypothesis (The Love Hypothesis, #1) by Ali Hazelwood – According to you all, this one deserves all the hype. It’s quickly moved up to the top of my tbr.
  4. Only When It’s Us (The Bergman Brothers, #1) by Chloe Liese – I’ve been wanting to read this series for too long. It’s time to make it happen.
  5. Somewhere Close to Happy by Lia Louis – Lia Louis’ two most recent books—Dear Emmie Blue and Eight Perfect Hours—were among my favorite reads, so her backlist book is at the top of my tbr, as well.
  6. Mind the Gap, Dash & Lily (Dash & Lily, #3) by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan – I’ve been a fan of this series—and the adaptation on Netflix. The third book is a must-read for me.
  7. Beautiful World, Where Are You by Sally Rooney – Much like Normal People, this book has some mixed reviews, and I need to know which side I’ll fall on. πŸ˜‰
  8. Anxious People by Fredrik Backman – This one has been on my wishlist for too long. I’ll eventually pick it up!
  9. From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata – Ditto for this one, as well.
  10. The Heart Principle (The Kiss Quotient, #3) by Helen Hoang – Aaaand this one, too!

Do we share any books on our wishlists? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Holidays and Happy Wandering!

  1. 1: I love your top photo/bookstagram pic. So cute 2: if you don’t find “Well Played” under your tree, I have an unread copy I could send you. It’s just sitting on a desk and won’t be read, so of course, I’d be glad to send it to a good home. πŸ™‚ Happy reading and I hope Santa leaves some of these!

  2. You’ve got some good picks on your wishlist! From Lukov With Love is definitely on mine as well! I hope you’ll be able to acquire them soon. Happy holidays! 😊

    1. Thank you! When I first starting doing a book tree, I had to scour for green and red books, as well. Most of these come from my collection of “old” books stored in a box under my bed. πŸ˜‰ But I think a book tree can be done with any color, and every year I think I’ll try something else, but I end up sticking with what I know. Ha! Happy holidays!

  3. Love the book tree!!! I wasn’t blogging at the time of the last one. I’m so glad to be participating this year and especially this time of year! It’s been fun seeing everyone’s lists and being a wish granter! I hope you have a Merry Christmas!! <3

    1. Gift cards are great, too! I’m always torn between physical books and ebooks. Since I use paperbackswap here in the states, I’ll usually just put my physical books on there after I’ve read them. BUT they do have to sit on my shelves until they get read. πŸ˜‰

      1. I have so many books on my shelves that I haven’t read. I hope to bring several to Florida to read by the pool, then I donate them to the free library for others to read.

  4. I read seven of those, so, great picks! I am sad about the Louis book. I think it must have a UK release, so I can’t get an electronic copy. I loved her other two books though.

    1. Yes, apparently Louis’ book is only available in print. I have seen it on several used book sites, as well. Maybe with her growing popularity, an ebook will get added soon. πŸ™‚

  5. I went to the bookstore for the first time in *ages* last week and saw Beautiful World, Heart Principle and Love Hypothesis … and immediately bought them because I couldn’t resist! I adored Love Hypothesis and still have to read the other two but I’m really looking forward to them! I hope you get some of these goodies this year 😍

    1. That sounds like a super fun shopping trip!! I feel pretty confident I’ll enjoy Love Hypothesis. I’m so easy to please when it comes to romance. Ha! I look forward to your thoughts on all of these! <3
