Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Covers On My TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Bookish People I’d Like To Meet (These can be authors, book characters, book bloggers/influencers, cover designers, cover models, etc.), but as you can see, I took a different direction.

Hello Readers! I hope March is treating you well. The weather here in Texas is supposed to be unseasonably warm this week, but I’m hoping that means I can spend some time reading outside. Especially since I’ve decided to join the Trope-ical Readathon this month, and I need all the encouragement I can get.

While I love the idea of meeting other bookish people, as an introvert, having to create a list kind of just gives me anxiety. πŸ˜† When I started looking at doing something else, I was surprised to discover I’d never done a list with bookish covers. So that’s where I ended up today. I tried to pick books I haven’t mentioned too often, as well.

Let’s see what I found!

(Link to Goodreads synopsis through book title.)

  1. The Night of Many Endings by Melissa Payne – Who wouldn’t want to spend the night stuck in a library?!
  2. The Bookstore Sisters by Alice Hoffman – I’m a fan of the author and this short story sounds so very bookish.
  3. By Any Other Name by Lauren Kate – I love the chance to read about what goes on in the background of the publishing world.
  4. We Are Inevitable by Gayle Forman – This book has received mixed reviews, but I read an excerpt for it on Bookish First when it was new and liked what I’d read—and I typically love Forman’s books—so this one stays on the TBR.
  5. By Your Side by Kasie West – Another ‘stuck in the library’ book, but this time it’s young adult, and West is another author I typically enjoy.
  6. The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams – I also enjoy stories about books bringing people together.
  7. The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams – I’m starting to feel like the only romance reader who hasn’t read this book at this point, but it’ll happen someday.
  8. The Last Chance Library by Freya Sampson – Yet another heartwarming story about books bringing people together.
  9. By the Book by Jasmine Guillory – A retelling of Beauty and the Beast, I’m intrigued by this one, and the cover is too cute.
  10. The Littlest Library by Poppy Alexander – This time it’s a little library that brings people together.

Have you read any of these books? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Wandering!

  1. I think you will love The Bromance Book Club when you get to it someday.
I actually wouldn’t want to stay overnight in a library. I just imagine it would be too dusty. But this is fictional, so maybe it all smells like new books.

  2. Gorgeous covers, The Littlest Library looks so cute, and The Bromance Book Club is a great book, love the idea of man reading romance books and learn how to treat their women

    1. Well, we were supposed to have warmer weather, and then it ended up storming most of the week. That’s Texas. Alway unpredictable. But thankfully no snow! It’s not unheard of in March, though. It could still happen for us. πŸ˜ƒ

  3. The Reading List is one that I just purchased a couple weeks ago! Bromance Book Club is so good. I think I’ve only read three of them though!

  4. These covers are so great! I loved The Last Chance Library, and I just finished reading By the Book…and it’s very cute and fun. πŸ˜€

  5. I love bookish books and have many on my TBR. I have read 6, 7, 8 & 10 and enjoyed them all. I have #9 on my TBR, but the others are all new to me. Enjoy them all Dedra.
