Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. This week’s prompt is Authors I Haven’t Read, But Want To (Submitted by Deanna @ A Novel Glimpse)
Hello Readers! I hope you’re all safe and well this week. Our start to April has been stormy and windy here, but at least it’s warmer! Life has been busy, but I’ve still managed to read quite a bit. I also finished the second season of Bridgerton, but I was a little disappointed it didn’t follow the book more closely. I’m not sure I liked the changes to Edwina… have you watched it and read the book? What did you think?
Today we’re talking about authors we want to read, but haven’t yet. I love this topic, so kudos to Deanna! If you’re not a follower of hers, you should be. I’ve discovered soooo many new romance authors thanks to her blog! I was happy to discover as I was working on this post, that I’d recently read many of the authors that would have made this list not so long ago. Including Mariana Zapata, Meghan Quinn, Sally Thorne, and Martha Wells. But I still have so many others I need to pick up.
Let’s see who I’d like to read soon!

Great list! I adore Tana French’s books! And T J Klune is charming! Love that you included the authors’ pics too.
This is my list of new authors I am excited to read soon!
I’m hoping to pick up both of these authors soon! Especially Klune, who is penciled in on my yearly challenge. 🙂
Yaaas, Dedra! I love to see Chloe Liese and TJ Klune on here AND HEARTSTOPPER! 😍 I also really loved Shusterman’s Arc of a Scythe series. SO many goodies on here. I have Tana French on my TBR and hope to check out one of her books this year too. I hope you enjoy all of these authors/books!
It’s definitely thanks to you that Liese, Klune, and probably Oseman are on this list. 😉 All of them–and Shusterman–are penciled in on my Popsugar challenge. Hopefully that will help me finally pick them up. 😃 Happy Reading!
Oh great list! I should have added Sarah J. Maas to my list too. I’ve read some of Chloe Liese’s books and want to read more, she’s so good.
It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who hasn’t read a Maas boon. 😉 Liese’s Bergman series has been very high up on my tbr for too long. Hopefully I can pick it up soon!
I want to read more of T.J. Klune’s work! I enjoyed The House in the Cerulean Sea a lot, but haven’t managed to read anything else of his yet. Hopefully soon. (And I hope you enjoy it when you read it!) Shusterman’s Scythe is still on my TBR, too.

I really need to pick up Cerulean Sea soon! I’m starting to feel like the only reader who hasn’t read it. Ha! It’s penciled in on my yearly challenge. Hopefully that will make it happen. Scythe is penciled in, as well. Fingers crossed! 😉
I hope you enjoy them both when you get to them! I’m planning on reading Scythe eventually, but I have NO idea when. Some day.
I have read three of these authors and enjoyed them. Great post, Dedra.
Hopefully I can get to them soon! Happy reading, Carla!
You have some GREAT ones on here that I didn’t even think of! And I’m so jealous that you managed to get the Throne of Glass series that cheap!! That’s another that I need to read. 🙂
I couldn’t believe it was that cheap! A few weeks later, I saw the same one advertised on sale for $40! 😳 Now hopefully I can get to it someday. Haha!
So many amazing books on this list, Dedra!! I hope you get to them because you are in for some great reading. I love Maas, Klune, and Heartstopper is so good!! It’s going to be on Netflix, this month, I think!
Yay!! I’m glad to hear you liked them. I forgot Heartstopper was being adapted! Now I really need to get to it asap. 😉
Yes! Good thing they are quick reads!! 😊
Aw, thanks! I love that you have already chipped away at some of the authors you wanted to try. It was still fun to read this list. I think you will love 4, 5, and 6.
I was very excited when I started working on this list and realized I’d read so many new authors. Hopefully I’ll be able to cross off most of these this year. I feel pretty confident I’ll enjoy them. 🙂
I love this list! Here are some random thoughts:
** the Dutch House is narrated by Tom Hanks and I definitely recommend the audiobook
** Brenden Kiely is coauthor of All American Boys and I adore his books too!
** Alice Oseman has been on my list for awhile and I hope to get to her this summer!
** I have loved the books I’ve read by Shusterman, but I still have SO MUCH of his backlist to catch up on. I’m hoping to get to Roxy sometime soon!
Ohhhh, I love these random thoughts/tips! Leslie reminded me that Heartstopper is being adapted soon, so maybe that will spur me to pick it up. And Yes! Shusterman’s backlist is massive. I had to just pick a few to share. I watched him do a Zoom about Roxy and I was very intrigued. He’s so imaginative!
I have read books from one through seven — all great. Legend is one of my all-time favorite series. Long Way Down is a must read, if you ask me, and my daughter can do a TedTalk on how amazing the Scythe series was.
You’re making me *really* want to pick up all of these as soon as possible. Haha!
The only one I have read books by is Marie Lu and I loved them! I also want to read Sarah J. Maas but her series are so daunting!
Oh yay! Another recommendation for Marie Lu! And yes, I think that’s why I haven’t picked up Maas. I’ll need to block out a month to get through the series. 😉
Great list! I’m a big Tana French fan, and hope you enjoy her books as much as I do.
Oh, that’s good to hear! I think now that I’ve collected the entire series, I’m daunted by it. 😉
I just requested Heartstopper from my library since everyone is so excited about the Netflix show. I can’t wait to pick it up and check out what all the fuss is about. Hope you enjoy these authors.
Yes! I need to get to it soon, as well. I’m excited about the adaptation!
