Mystery Blogger Award

Hello Readers! I hope you’re all well. Rose @ Wanders Between Pages recently nominated me for the Mystery Blogger Award, which looks like so much fun! Thank you Rose!

Three Things About Me:

1

I was in a tornado when I was four. The wind rushing through the pipes really did make it sound like a train. You might think this would make me terrified of storms, but it just made me more fascinated.

2

I am terrified of heights. I once rode “the world’s tallest wooden rollercoaster” when I was a teenager (thank you peer pressure) and I cried the entire time. I actually kissed the ground when I got off the ride.

3

My favorite thing about studying literature in college was the research. I know that makes me very weird, but I love to take a topic, connect the dots, and see where it leads. What I find always holds some kind of surprise.

Rose’s Questions for Me:

What inspired you to create your blog?

It’s something I had been tossing around for years. I’d already bought the domain name and had a Bookstagram, so it felt like the next step. Plus, my family can only listen to me talk about books for so long. ๐Ÿ˜‰

If given the chance to meet your ultimate favorite author (dead or alive), what would you say to him or her?

Hmm. I don’t really have an ultimate favorite author, so I’ll go with the first author that made me fall in love with reading–Edith Wharton. I think I would ask her how she dealt with the challenges of being a woman and author in such a patriarchal time.

What post is always a struggle to write?

Oooh. Good question. I’m fairly new to blogging so I don’t have a lot of experience, but I always seem to dread writing my review posts. However, they always go so much better than I expect them to.

Would you rather read physical books forever or digital books forever?

Yikes! That’s a tough one. I would have to say I’d rather read physical books forever. While I do love the convenience of digital books, the thought of not having a book to hold in my hand and place on my shelf is terrifying. ๐Ÿ˜‰

My Favorite Post:

My favorite post so far has definitely been my Chain of Gold TBR. It’s the one that has involved the most research and planning, and I loved working on it!

My Nominees:

(It’s okay if tags and awards aren’t your thing. Just know that I enjoy your blog and I hope others will discover it!)

My Questions:

Q: What’s the best reading experience you’ve ever had? (For example: Did you read the perfect beach book on the beach? Were you able to read an entire book in one sitting without any interruptions?)

Q: Where would be your favorite destination–real or imagined?

Q: Do you follow a TBR (To Be Read list) or are you a mood reader? And why?

Q: What’s your favorite type of blog post to create?

Q: What’s a book you didn’t like that everyone else loved OR a book that you loved and everyone else hated?

Thanks for reading! Stay safe and well. <3

Happy Wandering!

  1. Awesome tag, facts and answers, Dedra! I’m terrified of heights as well and I just realised to what extent when I started playing an old game made new and realised the reason I sucked at certain levels is because of my fear of falling ? I think I would pick physical books too–although ebooks are so much more convenient! Thanks so much for tagging me <3 I can't wait to do this one ASAP!

    1. Ha! I canโ€™t play many video games either because I get nauseous. ? Iโ€™m such a wimp.
