Looking Back at My Spring 2020 TBR

Hello Readers! I hope you’re all staying well and safe. Since we are about to share our Summer TBRs this week on Top Ten Tuesday, I was inspired by several other bloggers to take a look back at My Spring 2020 TBR and see how many books I ended up reading.

(Link to Goodreads synopsis through book title.)

4

The Simple Wild (Wild, #1) by K.A. Tucker

Yes!

My Review for The Simple Wild and Wild at Heart

5

The Bromance Book Club (Bromance Book Club, #1) by Lyssa Kay Adams

Not yet… I fully intended to pick this one up, but haven’t yet. It will probably appear on my Summer TBR. πŸ™‚

6

Anna K by Jenny Lee

No. Not sure if this one will carry over to my Summer TBR or not, but I still want to read it soon!

7

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

NO!!! Ergh. I think this one has been on all my TBRs. I now own the hardback and the audiobook. I have no excuses. I will continue to place it on my TBRs until I can cross it off.

8

Shadow and Bone (The Shadow and Bone Trilogy, #1) by Leigh Bardugo

Another no. I so want this to be the year I dive into the Grishaverse, but it’s a commitment, y’all!! It was pushed aside when I decided I needed to add more BIPOC authors to my reading. No regrets. I’m still determined to read it, though. They hold several places on my Reading Challenge. πŸ™‚

9

Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust

Not yet…. but this one is not my fault. The publishing date was pushed back thanks to Covid, and I typically like to read them as close to their release date as I can. It will appear on my Summer TBR!

10

The Bride Test by Helen Hoang

And no. Sadly, I had forgotten this one was on my tbr until I looked at it again. I still want to read it, but it probably won’t show up on my Summer TBR. I have a feeling it will end up being a mood-read choice at some point.

So, four out of ten. Not great. I think I’m more of a mood-reader than I thought. πŸ˜‰ Do you have any of these books on your TBR? Have you read them already? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Wandering!

  1. One reason I seldom make a TBR for a period of time is that i very seldom stick to them. At least you read four of them.

  2. Ooh, this is a great idea! Four out of ten is better than none πŸ˜€ I loved The Bride Test and would definitely recommend listening to Daisy Jones — I did that while following along with the book sometimes too and it made the experience so much more enjoyable! I can’t wait to read Girl, Serpent, Thorn and look forward to hearing your thoughts on it too πŸ˜€ Happy reading!

  3. I don’t think 4/10 is too bad (says the girl who usually only gets 1-2). I enjoyed Daisy Jones and the Six, but didn’t LOVE it like so many did. I also enjoyed The Bride Test a great deal, but maybe not quite as much as The Kiss Quotient (but I do recommend it).

    1. You’re right! 4/10 is better than none. ? Oh ok. I love getting different opinions on books. I think I’d rather go into a book being cautious than overly hopeful, if that makes sense. ?

  4. Girl, Serpent, Thorn is on my TBR! I have to wait for it to be released, though, since I don’t do ARCs. And still, it might not be as many as you wanted, but you managed to read a large chunk of your Spring TBR books!

  5. Honestly, not too bad! I saw some on your summer TBR, which is awesome! I really liked Daisy Jones!! I hope that you do too, when you get to it! πŸ™‚
